CAMPAIGN PRAYER
Good and loving God, giver of all good gifts,
We thank You for the many blessings you have bestowed upon us and our St. Mary Student Parish community over these past 100 years.
We humbly ask that in your mercy that you bless this campaign.
Give us the grace to trust in your divine providence and to embrace your call to be good stewards of your gifts.
Send forth your Spirit upon our parish as we embark on this campaign, so St. Mary Student Parish may continue to share the Good News and be a beacon of light and a wellspring of hope for generations to come.
We make our prayer through the intercession of our patroness, Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, and in the name of Christ, Our Lord.
Amen.
ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN
Since 1925, St. Mary Student Parish has been a cornerstone and a vital spiritual home for Catholics at the University of Michigan and throughout the Ann Arbor area. The parish grew extensively over the years, and in 2005, the Society of Jesus began administering the parish while serving a diverse community spanning generations and cultures.
Today, we have a thriving parish with over 3,500 households and countless ministries. To ensure our parish can continue to meet future needs, we are launching a major fundraising initiative in concert with the Diocese of Lansing’s Stewardship for Saints and Scholars campaign (click HERE for more details about this campaign).
St. Mary Student Parish’s new campaign will fund essential repairs and updates to the Newman Center and church, creating more inviting and functional spaces for both resident and student parishioners. We also aim to enhance our endowment to support campus ministry initiatives, such as retreats, alternative spring break trips, and other immersion opportunities, as well as increasing the funding for our resident faith formation and community outreach initiatives.
