Catholic Thinker’s Book Club

Please join us in the Loyola Room from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Tue. Feb. 11th and Tue. March 11th to discuss “Jesus of Nazareth: What He Wanted, Who He Was” by Gerhard Lohfink, former theologian at the University of Tubingen in Germany. We plan to discuss Chapters 1 through 11 in Feb. and Chapters 12 through 21 in March.
In “Jesus of Nazareth” Lohfink provides insights into what the Scriptures meant to Jesus and explores the connection between the reign of God He preached and the death He died. Fr. James Martin, S.J. considers this book to be “the best book” on Jesus that he has ever read.
