Grad/Young Professionals are invited to spiritual directions tomorrow evening from 7-9 pm.  Come hear Fr. Mark Mossa, S.J. speak on the question “Is real presence only about the Eucharist?” Undergrad Men are reminded that tomorrow is the deadline to register for next weekend’s retreat “Be Not Afraid” We still have room for Tuesday’s examination and discussion of Pope Francis’ encyclical letter Laudato si’ “On Care for our Common Home” The event will begin at 7 pm.  Books are available in the office.

Undergrad men: It’s time to register for the upcoming men’s retreat “Be Not Afraid”. See the bulletin or parish website for details. We are down to our final two weeks of the January warming center.  The warming center is open to all Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm.  The biggest need currently is for people to greet and visit with our guests.   We are collecting new or gently used items to distribute to the guests at the end of the month.  You will find info and links at our parish website and in the bulletin.

Three week bulletin covering Christmas Break. Thank you to all who supported the giving tree this year! Your generosity has truly helped those in need in our community and beyond. Be sure to pick up a bulletin which has the Christmas schedule, and the liturgical and building schedules through the first week of January.  Throughout the month of January, the warming center here at St. Mary will provide a warm welcome and community for all people, particularly our brothers and sisters experiencing homelessness. We still have many volunteer slots to fill and need your help.  The warming center runs Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:00pm. Bulletin for December 15, 2019

Grads and young professionals are reminded about tomorrow’s Advent Prayer and Social event beginning with prayer in the church at 7pm. A reminder that registration is going on for the winter overnight retreat in February. Undergrads – now is the time to sign up for the men’s and women’s winter retreats titled “Be Not Afraid”.

Our parish will host an Advent Penance Service at 7 p.m. this Tuesday, so we will not have confessions here on Wednesday. You can also see the bulletin for a list of penance services at other area parishes.

Throughout the month of January, the warming center here at St. Mary will provide welcome and community for all people, particularly our brothers and sister experiencing homelessness. You can find more details and a sign up link on the website and in the bulletin. We need many volunteers, especially for the first week of January.

Liturgical ministers: we need your assistance for the Christmas Eve Vigil masses, as well as Christmas Day. Please sign up through the scheduling program if you are able to help.

Undergrads you are invited to study late and enjoy snacks as you prepare for your finals. Next Saturday evening plan to join us for a Christmas celebration. Check the bulletin for the schedule and details. During the month of January our parish community provides a welcoming, safe, and warm environment where people experiencing homelessness can find companionship, food, and rest. Many hands are needed, please consider signing up for one of the many volunteer slots.

Undergrads, next Sunday following the 5 and 9 pm masses we plan to have a couple Post Grad Service Organization opportunities for you to check out.  This month we are inviting resident parishioners to sign up and serve as mentors for our new Parish Council Career Mentoring Program.  See the parish website for information on how to sign up as a mentor.  Reminder that our annual Feast Day of Service on Saturday, December 7th is quickly approaching.  Details can be found in the bulletin.  The sign up deadline is November 24. Into the Light, a fellowship group that meets Saturday mornings during Advent begins meeting on November 30 at 9AM. All are welcome to join us in a communion service followed by a potluck breakfast and faith sharing. See the bulletin for more details.
