INTSAM GLOBAL 5K

Save the Date: Saturday, October 22 at 10 am! We have a team in the International Samaritan Global 5K, again!

On Saturday, October 22 at 10AM, Fr Jim, St Mary parishioners and friends will set out together to raise awareness and funds for IntSam’s $250,000 water relief effort for their partners living near and in the garbage dump in Tegulcigalpa, Honduras.  We’ll run and walk on the Dixboro hike/bike trail, Halloween costumes are welcome!

All are welcome!  We can do this together, residents and students, families and individuals, all ages, primary Spanish and primary English speakers, & it’s outdoors on a paved path!  Register here (or please email the contacts Leo Brito at leob70@gmail.com or Rainey at rlamey@umich.edu so we know you’re coming).  Where?  1800 Dixboro Rd. Matthaei Botanical Garden’s Campus Garden Parking Lot.  Use the Service Drive Entrance. Rides are available. Parking is $2 / hour or $5 day.

At 9:30 to 9:45 we’ll gather and stretch.  At 10AM sharp, runners set out.  10-ish, walkers start.  Follow the path rules.  Afterwards, we’ll have water, Washtenaw Dairy cider and donuts, and chit-chat.
